Men gay couple living secretly married decided to get the relationship open then a woman comes in as a girlfriend to one of the couple.
Chris Brandt and his husband have been married for six years before they decided to make their relationship open. The two men are now engaged in a happy polyamorous relationship with Cait who dates Chris joined in the mix as well and often refer to themselves as a ‘throuple,’ (mix of ‘three’ and ‘couple.’) But originally, Matt wasn't so open to the idea of sharing his husband.
But despite those initial challenges, the trio now lives together, sharing a bed in a one bedroom apartment.
They three have been living together for two years now and even have two dogs as well, all in peace.
During an interview on Barcroft TV, Chris Brandt said: ‘at first Matt was completely opposed to the idea but after a while, we talked about it and he warmed up to it.’
‘The three of us started to spend more and more time together and after about seven or eight months she was staying over five nights a week.’
After that, the trio basically started living together. Cait and Chris identify themselves as bisexual and both have dated people of the opposite sex before except Matt who identifies as something a little more different.
‘I’m homoflexible so I like guys and I’m open, flexible to women – I prefer men.’
I guess I had an awakening after I had a sexual experience with a woman. It is just another body, another soul, a connection that I can have.’
And Cait opend up saying the how the whole ‘throuple’ idea was initially tough for her as well.
‘When we first got together I was struggling with the jealousy. With having a very strong connection with Chris and sometimes feeling frustrated that I would have to split time with Matt.’
‘But with a lot of that came a lot of insecurity, because I didn’t know where my place was in the relationship.’
The throuple have decided to adopt children and raise them.
