This is not the first nor the second, this is the third time the Nigerian custom is intercepting large number of arms at Tin can port in Lagos. The first time it was 661 pump action rifles intercepted. Like that was not enough, the second time, 440 same pump action rifles were intercepted. This sums up to 1,101 rifles intercepted.
Currently, the Nigeria Customs Service during a normal inspection of goods at the Tin-Can Island command has intercepted a 20-feet container marked GESU25255208, carrying

  • 600 pieces of Jojef Magnum Black,
  • Pump rifles,
  • Jojef Magnum Silver pump action rifles,
  • Jojef Magnum plastic single barrel,
  • hunting gun pump action rifles.

The container which arrived Nigeria from Turkey, was labeled to be carrying kitchen epuipments such as Wash hand basins. But instead guns were discovered during an inspection by some officers in the command.
Controller General of Customs, Col. Ahmed Alli , who was at the command where the guns were intercepted and paraded before newsmen, said one of the agency's officers believed to have been involved with the sealing of the container without following due process, as well as a clerk  at the command, had been arrested in connection with the discovery.
I don't know who is planning a civil war in Nigeria, all i know is that it is not ever going to succeed. War is never a good news, and it is not a solution to any problem. Looking at the guns intercepted, they are all neat and fresh, but the guns handled by policemen and some military men will have rust all over and look malfunctioning.  Something is fishy.
