A Contractor has been abducted by three armed men while awaiting work materials for road construction.
It was gathered that the three armed men stormed the road construction site and started shooting sporadically before abducting the contractor.
In a swift reaction to the incident which happened along Idumu Ogo/Obomkpa road, Obomkpa Progressive Union, OPU described the act as wicked and designed to frustrate the good intentions of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in his developmental efforts for Aniocha North and Obomkpa.

In a statement by its President General, Linus Chima, the community called for the immediate release of the contractor warning that no harm should come to him.
Details of the abduction of the contractor are still sketchy but the incidence was said to have happened around 5.30 pm on Monday while awaiting materials to continue the 6.6 kilometres road construction work from Idumu Ogo to Obomkpa.
Commissioner for Works had earlier visited the site of the project on Monday to ascertain that all was well as Governor Okowa was billed to inspect the project on Tuesday May 23.
There are also indications that the various vigilante groups in the area have been mobilised by the Aniocha North council Chairman, Chuks Oseme to search for the abducted Contractor.
They are expected to comb the bushes in anticipation of rescuing the kidnapped contractor.
Reports also indicate that the contractor had approached the Police in Issele Uku for security cover but was reportedly turned down a few hours before the incident.
Police yet to coordinate rescue as Issele Uku Police station, reportedly turned down company staff who came to report.
