UNIABUJA Crises - Registrar Suspended Indefinitely

Crises Arising From the university at the capital of Nigeria, University of Abuja.

The registrar of the UNIABUJA Rifkatu Swanta has been suspended alongside 21 other staff by Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) over anti-union activities. 

The suspension indefinite came as the registrar Rifkatu Swanta  and other 21 staff alleged carried out illegal acts of corruption.

Reports has it that the staffs of the University held a rally protesting against corrupt practices going on in the institution. In regards to the protest the officials said that the Governing body of University of Abuja fired two staffs Jude Nwabueze and Nurudeen Yusuf,  for whistle-blowing and condemned the sack as illegal.

Acts carried out by the registrar and other 21 suspended staff include,locking of the SSANU secretariat and forging of the union’s letter head paper to open bank accounts.
