5 - And when thou Prayest, thou Shalt not be as the Hypocrites are: for they love of standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets that they may be seen of men
Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 - But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 - But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 - Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 -After this manner pray ye:
Our father which art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
10 - Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven
11 - Give us this day our daily bread
12 - And forgive us our trespasses and we forgive those who trespasses against us
13 - And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from all evil
For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory for ever amen.
If you are to be in a prayer and it is a public thing. Simply focus your mind on God and do not go about showing you have a talent in praying. That is nothing wrong with public praying but instead the mindset is what determines, whether it is wrong or right.
When you pray give thanks to God FIRST. A sample was given above, after that you can now go ahead with any other. Just like in a letter you do the pleasantries first, So it s in prayer to give thanks first.
Do not expect God to answer your prayer of forgiveness, when you have not forgiven other. That is a way of showing pride, you cannot forgive but expect God to forgive you. So the best thing is to just avoid being in issue with anyone and then ask God for forgiveness.
Also, carelessly repeating words in a emphasizing way is not Going to move God, So hit the nail, make your request because God already knows your needs. He is the Master-Planner
